Bill Morgan is the CEO and Consulting Principal of Avistas, a 20 year-old international advisory firm specializing in strategic growth and transformation.  He has supported the East African Community since 2009 and proudly serves as Vice Chairman of the East Africa Business Network (EABN).  He has conceived, designed and masterplanned “Smart Cities” since 1990, long before they were called smart cities.  Along the way he masterplanned the initial Information Communication & Technology (ICT) for the first smart city in Saudi Arabia called King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) while supporting Emaar, SA and Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA).

He later took those “best practices” to Rwanda in support of Rwanda Development Board (RDB) on behalf of the World Bank to commission their “Internet Data Center” located in Kigali.  This is now operated by Broadband Systems Corporation (BSC) and spans the nation’s fiber, fixed wireless (WiBro) and LTE (Mobile) networks. Because all strategic initiatives require serious funding, Mr. Morgan brings forth billions of dollars of private placement (debt and equity) where needed, across most industries and around the world, when retained.
